What is Men’s Health?

The term ‘men's health’ is used here to refer both to the physical and mental health problems that are of concern for men and to health differentials among men.

About Men’s Health

The differences in men's health compared to women's can be attributed to biological factors, behavioral factors, and social factors. Most men need to pay more attention to their health. Compared to women, men are more likely to smoke and drink, make unhealthy or risky choices, and put off regular checkups and medical care. Health screenings that are important for men over age 50 include blood pressure, cholesterol, prostate and colon cancer.
